Jay For Seattle

Many thanks to Duy Tran, the North End Outreach Case Manager for the Downtown Emergency Service Center, for allowing me to shadow him last Friday!

Every day, Duy walks and bikes πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈπŸš² through the U District proactively reaching out to our community's unsheltered offering support, ensuring they are safe, have access to food and appropriate shelter if available, offering additional resources as needed, and most importantly, being a true friend to these vulnerable neighbors.

To see Duy's care and compassion, versatile people skills, knowledge, and amazing relationships in action was truly inspiring. DESC does transformational work in #Seattle, and we are lucky to have such a great resource in our city-- thank you Duy and DESC staff for all you do!

If I can say nothing else, I will say this: Jay, you are truly getting to know your city. You deserve to be on the Council and the city deserves to have you on its Council. In these past few months, you have probably done more in respect to getting involved with your city than all the rest of the city council combined over the past 20 years.
